All service areasWhy Santa Fe homes are different
Thick walls, historic rules and high-desert weather
Architecture. Many Santa Fe homes are Pueblo Revival or Territorial style, with thick adobe or frame-and-stucco walls. Window openings are often deep and not perfectly square, so each one is measured and fitted individually. More on adobe homes.
Historic districts. In the city's historic districts, exterior changes like new windows and doors may need review by the city, and sometimes a hearing before the Historic Districts Review Board (H-Board). We help you prepare; the decision is the city's.
Climate. At about 7,000 feet, the sun is strong, nights are cold and spring winds carry dust. Low-E glass, insulated glass ordered for the altitude and careful sealing all matter here. More on energy-efficient windows.
